Agorapulse Alternatives (2026): Sorted by What Each Tool Meters, Priced at 10 to 100 Accounts, and What "Free" Means Now
- Agorapulse runs three meters at once: $79 to $149 per user per month (annual rates), 10 social profiles on each plan with extras at $10 a month each on annual billing or $15 on monthly, and X accounts
- For one operator on September 29, 2026: at 10 accounts Publer ($36), Postiz ($39), RecurPost ($41), SocialPilot ($42) and Agorapulse ($79 annual) span $43; at 100 accounts Postiz is $99, Hootsuite $19

- Agorapulse withdrew its Free plan on July 6, 2026; its pricing FAQ still mentions one. Its replacement, the free Archie plan, publishes only AI-generated posts to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Fre
You searched for Agorapulse alternatives because one of three counters ran out: profiles stopped at 10, a second person cost as much as the first, or an X account sent you to an add-on. Each counter points to a different replacement, and star-rating lists do not say which one you hit.
We read Agorapulse's pricing page, its help centre and eight alternatives' pricing pages on September 29, 2026, and priced each tool for one operator at 10 to 100 accounts. USD before tax.
What does Agorapulse actually charge for?
People first. Agorapulse's pricing page lists Standard at $79, Professional at $119 and Advanced at $149 "per user /month" on the annual toggle, and $99, $149 and $199 monthly. The help article Pricing Per User Explained says: "Each additional user is charged at the same rate as the first user." Three people on Standard is 3 × $79 = $237 before a single extra profile.
Profiles second. The feature table prints "10" under Standard, Professional and Advanced and "Unlimited" only under the unpriced Custom plan. Extra profiles are shown as "$10" a month each on the annual toggle and "$15" on the monthly one. The page's structured data says "10 social profiles per user"; the visible table and the help article do not say it, so treat per-seat as likely but confirm with sales before pricing a team.
X third. The add-ons block lists "X Lite" and "X Plus" with "Contact us"; the help article X (Twitter) Lite and X (Twitter) Plus Explained prices them at $29 per connected X profile per month (publishing) and $69 (with inbox and reports), and says "An active add-on is required to connect any X profile." One person with five X accounts pays $79 + 5 × $29 = $224 a month.
And the free plan is gone. The pricing FAQ still says "keep using the free plan for as long as you need", but Agorapulse Free Plan Explained, updated August 3, 2026, says: "Starting July 6, 2026, our Free plan will no longer be available to new or current Free plan users." We read the FAQ as a leftover, not an offer.
Agorapulse alternatives by billing unit: which is cheapest at your account count?
The billing unit decides which way the bill bends as you add accounts, so it tells you more than the starting price.

| Tool (what it meters) | 10 accounts | 20 | 30 | 50 | 100 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Agorapulse Standard, annual (seat + $10 per extra profile) | $79 | $179 | $279 | $479 | $979 |
| Agorapulse Standard, monthly (seat + $15 per extra profile) | $99 | $249 | $399 | $699 | $1,449 |
| Hootsuite, annual (seat; no cap from Professional) | $99 | $199 | $199 | $199 | $199 |
| Sprout Social, monthly (seat; unlimited from Professional) | $399 | $399 | $399 | $399 | $399 |
| RecurPost (accounts; $4 add-ons on any plan) | $41 | $79 | $119 | $199 | $399 |
| Publer Professional (accounts; $4 each, every 10th free) | $36 | $72 | $108 | $180 | $360 |
| SocialPilot (plan + $4 add-on accounts) | $42 | $70 | $110 | $190 | $390 |
| Buffer Essentials (channels, tiered $6 to $1) | $60 | $100 | $135 | $195 | $245 |
| Postiz hosted (fixed channel steps) | $39 | $49 | $49 | $99 | $99 |
| Mixpost Pro (one-time, self-hosted) | $299 once, plus your own server; accounts unlimited | ||||
The arithmetic. Agorapulse at 30 is $79 + 20 × $10 = $279, or $99 + 20 × $15 = $399 billed monthly. Hootsuite's plans page carries $99, $199 and $399 "Billed annually" in its structured data; Standard is "Manage up to 10 social media accounts", Professional "unlimited social accounts", so anything past 10 is one $199 seat. Sprout Social caps Essentials and Standard at 5 profiles and starts unlimited at Professional ($299 annual, $399 monthly). RecurPost sells Starter at $9 for 2 accounts, Personal $25 for 5, Agency $79 for 20, and "Extra social accounts are $4/mo each and extra team members are $20/mo each, on any plan": 10 accounts is $9 + 8 × $4 = $41. Publer states "For every 9 social accounts, the 10th one is free" and its public billing endpoint returns 4 per account on Professional, so 30 accounts bill as 27: $108. SocialPilot runs $30 for 7 accounts, $50 for 15, $100 for 25 and $200 for 50 with "Extra Accounts – $4" on every plan; 30 is cheapest as $50 + 15 × $4 = $110. Buffer charges Essentials at $6 a channel for 1 to 10, $4 for 11 to 25, $3 for 26 to 50 and $1 from 51, so 100 channels is $245. Postiz is $29 for 5 channels, $39 for 10, $49 for 30 and $99 for 100. Mixpost Pro is $299 one time.

Read the table by column. At 10 accounts, three per-account tools and Postiz sit between $36 and $42; Agorapulse's $79 is roughly double them, though under Hootsuite's $99. At 30, Agorapulse is the dearest tool bar Sprout, and Hootsuite Professional is $80 cheaper. Between 50 and 55 every per-account tool passes Hootsuite's $199. At 100, the seat tools have gone flat, Postiz's fixed step wins, and Agorapulse's add-on has pushed the bill to $979, or $9.79 an account, while every other tool is under $4.
Agorapulse's bill bends upward with profiles. The seat tools go flat. The per-account tools go straight. Which shape suits you depends only on how many accounts you run and how many people run them.
The seat tools carry the opposite caveat: each extra person is a full seat, so three people with 30 accounts pay $597 on Hootsuite against $79 + 10 × $4 = $119 on RecurPost, whose Agency plan includes 3 users. Agorapulse's own team math is in Agorapulse vs Hootsuite.
Is there a free Agorapulse alternative?
There is no longer a free version of the Agorapulse scheduler. The July 6 withdrawal replaced the Free plan with the free Archie plan: "Up to 50 social profiles (Facebook, Instagram, & LinkedIn only)", "10 credits per month" and the publishing calendar, but "new posts can only be created using Archie", an AI studio that, per the Archie article, turns PDFs, articles, videos and audio files into posts. You can schedule on it; you cannot write a post from a blank composer, and there is no X, TikTok or YouTube. So "agorapulse free alternatives" still means the free tiers elsewhere, and each removes something.
Buffer Free is the most usable: "Up to 3 channels" with "10 scheduled posts per channel - refill anytime". A fourth channel means paying for all four on Essentials ("you will pay for each channel"): 4 × $6 = $24 a month. Publer Free allows 3 accounts, but its plans page says "You cannot connect Twitter / X accounts in the free version". Self-hosted Postiz is the closest to a free scheduler without limits, but Postiz's pricing page says "There is no permanent free tier on the hosted version", and self-hosting puts the server, the updates and each platform connection on you. Mixpost Lite is free and MIT-licensed, limited to Facebook Pages, X and Mastodon, and its repository last shipped a release (2.6.0) on March 16, 2026; see Mixpost alternatives.
When is the best Agorapulse alternative Agorapulse's own add-on?
When you hit only the profile counter. Against Hootsuite Professional's flat $199: $79 + 10 × (n − 10) = $199 at n = 22. Up to 21 profiles adding is cheaper, at 22 they tie, and from 23 Hootsuite is cheaper and stays flat. On monthly billing ($15 add-ons) the crossover moves to 17 ($99 + 15 × 7 = $204). Against Publer, RecurPost and SocialPilot there is no crossover: they are cheaper at every count from 10 up.
If you hit the people counter, adding is never the answer, because a person costs a whole plan. A marketer for a chain with "40+ different locations" wrote on September 25, 2026, "I do know that we can add multiple members to a team in hootsuite, but i dont wanna ramp up the costs of our plan. We are talking about 40+ members added." RecurPost's flat $20 teammate and SocialPilot's $5 additional user exist for that shape.
How to choose an Agorapulse alternative in three questions
- Which counter did you hit? Profiles only, 21 or fewer: adding costs less than moving to Hootsuite, though a per-account tool is cheaper still. Profiles, 23 or more, one person: Hootsuite Professional, or a per-account tool while you stay under about 50. People: RecurPost, SocialPilot or Publer, where a teammate is $2 to $20 rather than a seat. X: any tool without a per-profile X add-on; Hootsuite's FAQ counts "your personal X account" as an ordinary social account, and Buffer's channel table includes X.
- What is the inbox worth to you? Agorapulse sells a unified inbox from Standard; the per-account tools sell scheduling first. If replying is the job, price Hootsuite and Sprout; if publishing is, the inbox is what you overpay for.
- Who writes 30 accounts' worth of posts? A cheaper queue still needs 30 different posts in it. NoobClaw is one option: a desktop app that drafts posts for each account from its own niche and persona and publishes through browser sessions on your own machine, billed per action or per piece of content rather than per profile slot, with per-platform account limits on each plan. Apart from Reddit it does not use official posting APIs, and it only runs while your computer is on, so keep a person reviewing what goes out.

How much does Agorapulse charge for X (Twitter)?
