Do not treat every written caption as consuming the same media-generation pool or derive a guaranteed video quantity from the credit total.
Postiz’s current plans describe AI video, clipping and image features with their own allowances and tier conditions. Mixpost Pro also includes an AI Assistant alongside publishing, approvals and other features. These primary sources contradict a claim that both alternatives only deliver previously prepared content. They do not establish identical generated videos, identical models or equal quality with Blotato.
Write down the required output: a caption draft, a generated image, a clipped asset, a narrated video or an approved destination post. Then check the selected edition, provider configuration and applicable allowance for that output. A general AI feature name cannot establish all those deliverables. Blotato’s $29 Starter includes twenty accounts but uses different generation resources and access conditions. The two $29 headlines are not a feature-equivalent comparison or a certified cost per approved asset.
A hypothetical ten-channel requirement can identify a listed Postiz monthly bundle, but its occupied account count says nothing about the required generation quantity, users or supported formats. Likewise, dividing Blotato’s price by included accounts does not price a generated video. Use the sufficient edition and actual resource mix rather than ranking subscriptions solely by account denominator or unused capacity.
Mixpost’s one-time license includes one year of updates and a perpetual fallback version. It also has domain, business and permitted-use restrictions. A hypothetical comparison of $299 with repeated $29 payments is catalogue arithmetic only: it omits hosting, maintenance, providers and potentially different required capabilities. It is not a measured break-even date or evidence that every migration saves money.
Self-hosting retains provider and operating requirements
A self-hosted installation needs its documented infrastructure, updates, backups and connection setup. Postiz’s current material describes social-platform developer-app approvals as work the self-hosted operator must handle. Approval and required scopes depend on the actual platform and action. Do not turn a generic setup checklist into a guarantee that every format works automatically or that credentials only need attention once.
Generation can also depend on configured external providers and their current billing and availability. Removing a hosted subscription does not establish that all model use becomes free or that the same output can be produced without those services. Identify the actual provider, feature and allowance used by the selected installation. Any unquoted operating amount remains a missing budget item rather than a reason to invent a total.
Mixpost Pro’s license covers the stated internal business use. Selling access to workspaces or operating a SaaS service requires Enterprise under current terms; unlimited accounts and workspaces do not remove that distinction. Its separately hosted Cloud service has different subscription terms.
