Publer vs SocialBee (2026): The Add-On Price Tells You More Than the Plan Price

2026-09-02 ยท 5 min read ยท By Marcus Lin ยท NoobClaw Blog
TL;DR
  • SocialBee runs $29 (5 profiles) to $449 (150 profiles), so cost per account falls from $5.80 to $2.99 โ€” a genuinely scaling curve, unlike SocialPilot's, which rises.
  • SocialBee's add-on price is the tell: $15/month buys 5 more profiles, or $3.00 each โ€” roughly half its own Bootstrap average. Entry plans sell you an entry ticket, not accounts.
  • Publer sells accounts and team members as separate add-ons with a buy-9-get-1 pattern, per third-party summaries. We still could not load Publer's own pricing page โ€” treat every Publer number here as
  • SocialBee gives unlimited AI generation on every tier; the tier ladder is really about approval workflows, workspaces and analytics history.

There is a specific moment in every scheduler evaluation where the spreadsheet stops helping: you have the monthly prices lined up, they're within $20 of each other, and you still cannot tell which one gets expensive at the size you'll actually be in six months. For Publer and SocialBee, the answer is not on the plan rows. It's in the add-on line at the bottom of the page.

SocialBee's numbers, and the curve they draw

From socialbee.com/pricing on 2026-09-02 (14-day trial, 30-day money-back, no permanent free tier):

PlanMonthProfilesUsersWorkspaces$ / account
Bootstrap$29511$5.80
Accelerate$491011$4.90
Pro$992535$3.96
Pro50$17950510$3.58
Pro100$299100520$2.99
Pro150$449150530$2.99

That curve falls the whole way. It is worth appreciating how unusual that is. Run the same division on SocialPilot and you get $4.00, $4.00, $5.00, $5.00 โ€” it goes up, because SocialPilot's higher tiers sell seats and AI credits rather than accounts. Two products in the same category with opposite scaling behaviour, and neither pricing page says a word about it.

The add-on line, which is the actual answer

At the bottom of SocialBee's page: $15/month per 5 extra profiles. That is $3.00 per account โ€” about half the $5.80 you're paying on Bootstrap.

If the marginal account costs half what the average account costs, the entry plan was never selling you accounts. It was selling you the right to be a customer.

So the real move on SocialBee is not "which tier fits my account count." It's: find the cheapest tier whose features you need โ€” approval workflow, bulk editor, CSV upload, workspace count, 2 years of analytics instead of 3 months โ€” then buy accounts as add-ons up to your number and compare that total against the next tier up. Sometimes upgrading wins because you need the workspaces. Often it doesn't. There are also $10/month per extra user and $10/month per extra workspace, which means SocialBee has split accounts, seats and workspaces into three independent add-on lines โ€” the most granular unbundling in this category.

Publer: what we can and cannot tell you

We have to be blunt here. We have tried to load Publer's own pricing page on four separate days and it has failed every time โ€” redirect loops between its two domains. Every Publer number below comes from third-party summaries and should be verified on Publer's site before you make a decision.

The third-party consensus: a free tier covering several accounts but excluding X; a Professional tier where extra accounts run roughly $4/month each and extra team members about $2/month; a Business tier where extra accounts run about $7/month; a buy-9-get-1 pattern with accounts and seats counted separately; roughly 20% off for annual.

Notice that Publer's free tier drops X โ€” the same pattern we've now logged three times across this category. Free tiers drop the network the vendor pays most for, not the one users want least. Metricool drops LinkedIn and X; Upload-Post drops TikTok; Publer drops X.

How to actually choose between them

Publer vs SocialBee ยท choosing by workflow requirement rather than headline price
Approvals, workspaces and analytics history move the decision more than $20 of monthly price.

The workload shape both of them assume

Every tier ladder above is built on one premise: you are one publisher speaking through several channels, possibly on behalf of several clients. Workspaces, approvals and seats all exist to serve that premise.

If instead you're running a set of accounts that should read as different people โ€” your own accounts, different niches, no shared copy โ€” the premise breaks. Duplicating one post across accounts is exactly what a scheduler is good at, and exactly what you don't want. NoobClaw approaches that differently: each account runs in its own local fingerprint browser profile and generates content from its own niche, persona and keywords, so the accounts aren't fed from a shared composer at all. It's a desktop app rather than a dashboard, and it does not do client approval workflows โ€” if approvals are why you're shopping, stay in this category.

FAQ

Is SocialBee's unlimited AI actually unlimited?

It is listed as unlimited generation on every tier, which is unusual in a market where credits are the standard meter. What varies by tier is everything around it โ€” content categories, sources, bulk editing, the approval system. Treat "unlimited AI" as a reason not to worry about generation volume, not as a reason to pick the cheapest tier.

Why can't you verify Publer's pricing?

Its pricing page has returned a redirect loop between two domains on every attempt across four days. That's a site issue, not a judgement about the product. It does mean we won't print a Publer price as fact โ€” and you shouldn't accept one from any comparison article that doesn't say where it got it.

Which is better for an agency with 10 clients?

SocialBee Pro at $99 gives 25 profiles, 3 users and 5 workspaces; Pro50 at $179 gives 10 workspaces. Workspace count, not profile count, is usually the binding constraint for agencies โ€” one workspace per client is the clean setup. Count your clients first, then read the workspace column, then look at price.
