Planable vs Loomly (2026): Planable Rations Posts Per Workspace, Loomly Rations People — Price the One You Will Hit

2026-09-23 · 6 min read · By Marcus Lin · NoobClaw official blog
TL;DR
  • Planable: $39 or $59 a month per workspace, 4 or 10 pages, 60 or 150 posts per workspace per month, unlimited users. Analytics, inbox and listening cost extra per workspace.
  • Loomly: $65 a month for 12 accounts and 3 seats, $332 for 60 accounts and unlimited seats. No add-ons; the price per account rises slightly from Starter to Beyond.
  • Planable puts its limit on content, so high-output teams hit it first. Loomly puts its limit on people, so the fourth teammate or the 13th account multiplies the bill by 5.1.
  • Small team, one brand, modest volume: Planable. Many accounts posting daily with three or fewer people: Loomly Starter.

Both of these tools pitch the same buyer: a team that needs content approved before it goes live. Both will show you a calendar, an approval flow and a client-friendly preview. And both will surprise you on the invoice, in opposite places.

Planable does not care how many people you invite, but it counts every post. Loomly does not count your posts, but its cheaper plan stops at three people. If you are weighing "planable vs loomly", the useful question is not which one is cheaper. It is which of those two limits your team will hit first. Here are both pricing pages as they stood on 2026-09-23, and the scenarios where each one breaks.

Planable's add-ons, all charged per workspace per month (monthly price, annual in brackets): Analytics $14 ($12), Social Inbox $9 ($7.50), Social Listening $99 ($82.50). Loomly lists no add-ons at all. To get more accounts or more people you move up a whole plan.

Two things stand out. First, Planable is the rare vendor whose per-post cost falls in step with its per-account cost, from $0.65 to $0.393 per post and $9.75 to $5.90 per page. There is no hidden second limit getting tighter as you go up. Second, Loomly's price per account goes slightly up from Starter to Beyond ($5.42 to $5.53). The five-fold jump in price buys accounts at the same rate. What you are really paying for between the two plans is removing the three-seat limit.

Planable assumes people are free and output is scarce. Loomly assumes output is free and people are scarce. Work out which one your team actually is before comparing prices.

Where Planable breaks: when your team produces a lot

Sixty posts per workspace per month sounds generous until you do the maths for a brand that posts every day. Four pages, one post a day each, is about 120 posts a month. Basic runs out halfway through the month. Pro's 150 covers five pages posting daily, not ten.

Planable defines a workspace as a dedicated space for one client, brand or location, and the post limit belongs to the workspace. So the only way to buy more output for a single brand is another workspace. That is fine for agencies, where each client is its own workspace anyway. It is awkward for a single high-output brand, which ends up splitting itself up just to get more posts.

Now add the add-ons. An agency with ten clients on Basic pays 10 × $39 = $390 a month. Add Analytics to each and it is another $140. Add the inbox and it is $90 more. Planable's add-ons are charged again for every workspace, so comparing its base price with a competitor that includes analytics will understate Planable's real bill.

Two smaller notes from the same page. The Basic plan allows X to publish "1 tweet published/24h". And the trial counts posts too: "The first 50 posts are free".

Where Loomly breaks: the fourth person or the 13th account

Planable vs Loomly (2026) · the jump from Loomly Starter to Beyond

Loomly Starter covers 12 accounts and 3 people for $65. The moment you need a 13th account or a 4th login, the next option is Beyond at $332. That is a 5.1× jump, with no add-on in between.

Here is how that plays out, all monthly prices:

Loomly is not cheap per account at any size. Its structure simply does not punish output. Planable is cheap per seat at any size. Its structure simply does not punish headcount. We compared each against a per-channel biller in Planable vs Buffer and Loomly vs Buffer, and showed in Loomly vs Hootsuite why a seat-based plan can come out cheaper per account than Loomly once the account count is high.

One more piece of context: Loomly's blog feed was last updated in January 2025. That does not tell you anything about the product's quality, but it is worth noting if public product communication matters to you.

If approvals are not really your bottleneck

Both tools assume the hard part is getting drafts reviewed by the right people. For client work, it often is. But if you are one operator running many accounts, the second scenario above, the thing eating your week is usually writing a different post for each account, not approving it. Neither Planable nor Loomly writes content. They route it.

That is the one place a different kind of tool belongs in this comparison. NoobClaw is not an approval or scheduling tool. It is a desktop app that runs your own accounts in separate local browser profiles on your machine (you log in yourself; no passwords handed over) and uses AI to draft distinct content per account and handle engagement at a human pace. Keep a human review step on, since the same approval instinct that sends teams to Planable and Loomly applies here too. Pricing is on the site and in the app.

A quick decision rule you can take away:

  1. Count people who need to log in. Four or more: Planable, or Loomly Beyond if you also have more than 12 accounts.
  2. Count posts per month per brand. More than 60 on Basic or 150 on Pro: Planable needs more workspaces, so price that honestly.
  3. Price Planable with its add-ons included, per workspace, before comparing it with anything.
  4. Price Loomly at the plan you will be on in six months, not the one you start on. The step from Starter to Beyond is the whole story.

FAQ: Planable vs Loomly

Which is cheaper, Planable or Loomly?

For small teams with modest output, Planable: $39 a month per workspace with unlimited users, against Loomly's $65 for three seats. Does Planable limit how many posts I can publish?

Yes. Basic allows 60 posts per workspace per month and Pro allows 150. Enterprise is unlimited and quote-only. Users are unlimited on every plan.
